heres a dyno chart on excel for the stock to bolt on mods differences
http://web.archive.org/web/2005030520 ... ech/garage/ga16-total.xls

http://www.sentra.net/tech/garage/engine.php

heres the whole article
http://web.archive.org/web/2005030520 ... et/tech/garage/engine.php

theres around 25hp in that alone before proper port work
Port work is where you can free up the congested ports on
these heads and plenty of casted meat there from what Ive
seen in the past when sentra.net was a popular site.

Does the ga flow more than A series?
Yes, it sure does. Mostly because it has twice as many valves in the same-size head (GA16 head bolts to the A-series block, although the oil ports don't line up exactly)

A15 -> E15 -> GA16, so it's two generations newer

Yes, using the famous Sentra disco potato

A GA block bolts to an A-series transmission, rather than the L-series version of the 60/63?
Also, a GA could in theory be bolted into an A-series block? Presumably you'd have to use an extension of the existing A-series cam to run a timing belt up to the GA cams?

Yes, there are two ways to use an GA engine in rear-wheel drive

* Use the Nissan GA RWD transmission (71C 5-speed)
or
* Use an A-series transmission, 3 of the main bolt holes line up, another works if drilled out a bit, the last needs some work (or just skip it)

Dunno how to get the head working on an A-series block. Those who have done it aren't saying how

I just went and read the tech wiki about the GA series. Interesting. Now I want one.

Engine I'm planning to use, is later non vvt engine with straight intake ports. Just need more power than A15 can deliver under 1.6cc.
