Roadkills General Mayhem has wire mesh. Don't think I can put the headlights behind it though. Maybe the fog lights. I'm switching everything over to LED. You can get aftermarket headlights with bulb inserts now so I'm going that route.

you could bend the wiring like a basket or wire tray design
so its a convex shaped setup that way it clears everything
or space it forward with some support arms like basket below

http://stainless-steel-fittings.brass ... _steel_welded_baskets.jpg

a cool finish

http://d3d71ba2asa5oz.cloudfront.net/ ... -ss%201.8mm%20blk%20z.jpg

bending is easy as you know

with your creativity you can do it!

Well for now I've decided to put the grill back on.
We've had our first nice day in probably over a month so I'm going for a drive as soon as the roads dry up.
Need to break in the motor.

Drove it yesterday and found out I had a vacuum leak between the carbs and supercharger so I pulled the whole thing out today and resealed it with a new gasket. Didn't get a chance to drive it again and it looks like rain again tomorrow. Waiting for another nice day to come around.

Still haven't raced yet. Last weeks race was rained out. Gives me more time to work on the car to get it ready for sure. Still haven't sprayed any nitrous on the motor.
So the car is geared for the 1/8th mile and last year's 1/4 mile run just left me falling flat at the end of the race. 113 mph @ 11.78 tells me that my launches are good but my finishes are not. So I ordered up another set of rims and some taller tires. M&H 26" Slicks. Getting them mounted tomorrow. Should fit under the wheel wells nicely.
Should improve my top end speed and times. Will have to probably adjust the progressive nitrous system.

One Fender done. One more to go.
Had to manipulate the fender on the front and back down on the bottom. Took about an inch out on both sides and feathered it up. Took the hump out on the inside upper part of the fender. If you don't know what that is take your wheel off and look up underneath. hopefully we'll have this project done by the end of the day.

Yesterday I sprayed 185hp on the motor. Not 175 but 185. I dropped my .063 jet while installing it and lost it somewhere down in the abyss of my motor so I threw in a .064 jet. The wet pavement didn't help other than a long burnout.
Pulling the alternator today. It's going tits up. I noticed low charging yesterday fluctuating between 12 and 12.5 volts. Going to take it in and have it tested but I had them order me a couple different options. KA 240sx alternator is 80 amps and a VG Maxima is 90 amps but a heck of a lot more expensive. Doubt if I really need the 10 more amps.
Having a slight fender rub when turning on the new tires so I need to do more work.
Also, need to install a second return fuel line for my 1 gallon stand a lone tank for the nitrous. I have a return line in the trunk to keep the pump cool but but I have been having to initially prime the fuel soliniod on my nitrous setup otherwise my car will run lean on the nitrous and I get a backfire. If I run the return up at the solenoid, this will solve my problem.
Don't think I'm going to make Pacific Raceways tomorrow and most likely it will rain.
