Well it does make me feel a little better to know that most manifolds need to be played with...at the time I was having a 'oh why me' moment.

Ignition is electronic. And yes, Ernie did sort out my cam. :)

I would be supper happy with around the 80hp atw.

Well, it didn't set any records. But as my first full engine build I am happy. I'm sure I didn't do somethings right.

Max Power: 83.3hp @ 7063
Max Torque: 210.7lb-ft @ 5645

Google is an amazing thing, I was looking for pics of my old ute to show a mate when this thread came up. Strop, this is my old one, I bought it from an auction I worked at as a just traded one owner, it was yellow with tan dash and interior.

I had the interior re-trimmed and painted black, fitted the MOMO wheel, painted the car GREEN and fitted some new maglite/superlite rims to it along with the ute cover on the back.

Was a great little car but pulling the work trailer round blew the original 1200 motor, I bought a motor from a guy out ipswich way a 1400 had this fitted and continued on my way for a while till THAT DAY.......

Shirley st in Southport, an older lady came thru a stop sign with her foot on the gas instead of the break, she wizzed past the front of the car and basically I hit her in the left rear corner of her car, she was on full gas and spun me round and in the process moved the front end of the ute to the left about 2 to 3 inches. Everything from the door hinges and windscreen back was un marked. I sold the car minus the wheels with a spare litre of paint I had. She ended up thru a fence of a near by house and butted up against a palm tree still on the gas valve bouncing away.

Ive lost track of it from there.

Hope its being good to you.

I remember you advertising it on here a while back. Good to hear that it's been resurrected.
