Hi Guys

My b210 runs rough and higher idle it does not idle smoothly.i have checked almost everything but no good at all

I am running Toyota ke30 Asian carburetor on it

Plugged closed all the vacuum hoses individually and all at once to see whether there is any vacuum leak yet no good.

Checked the ignition contact point plugs looks great (got up at midnight and checked the spark) perfect bluish spark for all 4 cylinders.

Checked the carburetor float almost halfway looks good.

All the packing to the carburetor are new and replaced recently with good ones.

No miss, no backfire, no misfires , good response, on cruising can reach to 70-90KMPH with no hesitation

But Noticed these kind of abnormal behaviors.

1.When Engine is hot it runs very high idle, can not take it down
2. Air fuel mixture screw does not respond at all.
3.Closed air fuel mixture screw to the bottom seat and started it yet it starts and accelerate normal.
4.when idle, if I pull the throttle upwards it accelerate normal, but when idles if I pull the throttle backwards from idle position, it reduce the engine rpm and stalls at once, just gave a clue whether my carburetor door or throttle shaft defective ?
The only thing I have to do in this carburetor is throttle shaft and door, before I go and go it want to get your guys ideas suggestions feedback
Because thinking the same thing I repaired my Hitachi carburetor door and shaft but it did not sort out the issue
After that thinking there is something series with my Hitachi I replaced it with Asian carburetor that I got free from my friend.

Hi Guys

I Fixed the carb throttlel shaft busing and fixed a new door also now it is better than earlier runa bit low than earlier it doesnt die suddenly but after 2 seconds of leaving the gas pedal with ahissing sound from top of the carburator it dies,Can i have any kind of a leak in my manifold area ?
i saw a obvious exhaust leak under the manifold exhaust area , so shall i replace my manifold packing ? what do you guys suggest ? only thing i need to replace is that now

EDIT

First try adjusting the carburetor. The idle speed may be too low, the mixture adjustment may be off, etc


A leak at the exhaust manifold won't cause the engine to run poorly (just makes noise). Same for a leak at the manifold/intake junction (no engine air goes through there)

A leak at the intake manifold/cylinder head junction is a problem that causes poor running

Hi Guys

Did few things over the week end

Replaced Throttle Shaft busing and installed a new throttle door.

Replaced intake and exhaust interconnection packing with a new one.

Installed a backup packing over the (only to intake manifold) packing on top of the existing manifold packing.

Started it, sounded good to me it came to a lower idle without stalling, started it next day morning also sounds good did not stall Did not have time to go for a longer trip

Should be ok I will update the status

Hi guys

Mine problem still exists, it run ok sometimes but sometimes suddenly it stops while stopping on traffic or stop lights, only thing i have o check my distributor how can i check my distributor vacuum diaphragm i dont have a vacuum pump with me , i tried to move my vacuum diaphragm arm by a screw driver it looks stuck doesn't move at all, what should be done ?

Pull the hose from the diaphragm and plug the end of the hose -- if it is stuck, it's not working anyways
* A-series engine will run well without vacuum advance
* On the other hand, it will run slightly smoother and better fuel economy with vacuum advance working

Is this something related to ignition ?i was just thinking to replace distributor cap and rotor to see how it is , I just checked the play on the distributor sharp it is perfect to left and right but has a little play vertically from (top to bottom) is it normal condition ?

HI Guys

After a miserable headaches for months, Suddenly Car was normal and did not stall and was smooth as earlier for 4 days, i went to upcountry ride when going it was normal when coming back again car started stalling on stop and traffic lights and sometimes running rough time to time , sometimes on stop it looses engine rpm to minimum and shakes and stalls ,

when cruising speed no miss no hesitate no fuss going like a horse, no idea what should be checked ? any more ?

it is running on Hitachi carburetor back,i pulled out plugs those look perfect, no carburetor overflowing or any kind of fuel smell or no a any kind of ignition cutoff .it acted differently on different conditions

when cold - Engine doesn't keep running unless the gas pedal is pressed
little hot- Engine runs rough and high rpm but does not stall
Normal Engine running temperature -Engine runs a few seconds without pressing the gas pedal and shakes and loose rpm and stalls after that,
Stop on a Traffic light - It stalls on any engine temperature level

Pulled few Spark Plugs o see after the upcountry journey they were dry and great condition, no sign of rich or lean or any other bad condition to me
