That would be insane.

It seems that despite not having rego (you would never get that road licensed in WA) he is happy to take it out for a bog-lap in Northbridge! Hec yeah!

I love it. But there's a bit of me that thinks if you're going that far why not install the current 6.2L grunter? Unless of course it was done before they were available.

If you're going that far why not install the current LS7? Basically same size but lighter with over 500 hp from the factory

Pretty sure it is possible to get a car like this registered. You'd need to meet the current ADRs for a one off build, the starting point would be talking to an Engineer that works in the area. You can register anything if you can meet the ADRs.

Yep you are right.
However they are very specific in WA about what can pass.
Over this side of the paddock, they want us to have an 'Approval in Principal' from the dept. That is long before you go to an engineer.
I had problems with Tyre sizes. They would not allow me over 10% increase in tyre size or factory originals (155R12,s)

I forget what size i had to accept but it was a 13" of some description. It wasn't a bigge for me as I want little tyres anyways, but If I wanted 15s, I would have to have rubber bands for the rubber to keep within that guideline.

Perhaps over the other side, they are more reasonable, but in WA, yep you could do it, but it wouldbe poo fight from start to end. That may be why he went with the small capacity V8 and not the 6.2.
