Guys,
Any suggestions as to what which steerings from donor cars might fit my 1200 Delux. I dont wanna go for the sports after-market types{too Small]. I tried steerings from other cars, such as the Fiat Uno, Nissan Skyline, and Toyota Corolla, but the spline sections are always to big.

Dazza
You gotta remember that our South African friends dont always speak the same English as we do, but they do a much better job of it than we could do of any other language i could name, so we sometimes need to fill in the gaps. Many of our overseas friends can speak two languages, even if one is not quite perfect, & i wish i could do that. It would seem that Reeves is refering to the steering "wheel." I believe that he wants to know what steering wheels from other cars will fit & work on Datsun 1200's. Sadly, i am of no help here, but sports steering wheels should be available in sizes that are close to the original size, even if it is necessary to order one in. My 1000 sports option wheel is anout one inch smaller than stock & i find it a good size to use. Good luck.

Right on, Dodgeman.
That's correct I meant "Steering wheel", sorry about that guys. You see, the original s\wheel is a bit to big and mostly to thin around which to hold. The sports s\wheels are nice, but me personally, dont find them comfortable like the stock ones that comes on other cars. I'm sure alot your guys have changed to more comfortable s\wheels. What I'd really like to have is the 2 door GX s\wheel. This at least would keep to originality. But its hard to find a good condition one around here. Another thing, the nissan 1400 utes{newer mods} down here came out with smart s\wheels. {sports type} Would this fit on my 1200 delux? Thanks guys You can view topic.
