Guys,

I am sourcing a 5 speed gear box from the US (210 model), as they are to hard to get here. I have had several replies but I think they are offering up the rally type gear boxes (dogleg), which has reverse at the top left. I am after the standard which places reverse in the bottom right.

I have read the info in the Tech section about the 56, 60 and 63 series. It is a little incomplete but it seems me that:

56 Series (5 speed is avaiable in both dogleg and standard)

60 Series (Dogleg yes, but did these come out with standard 5 speed??)

63 Series (Dogleg only????)

Does anybody out there have a complete list of all models and which has what or can fill in the gaps??

i think all the 60 series gear boxes are standard gear positions and the 63 is the dogleg version.

I have seen quit a few 60 series 5 speeds on ebay recently. I paid $350 for one in decent condition. Some other ones of unknown condition are going for as cheap as $50.

btw... if you have a source for a dogleg in the states perhaps i could obtain one of those and sell you my standard 5 speed, as I'd rather have a dogleg ;)

There are two 60-series 5-speeds for A-type engine:

60L - dogleg shift for A-series
60A - standard shift for A-series

I have a 60A in good condition, I drove it personally. I'll sell it for $200. You can get one at the wrecking yards here in Washington for $150-$250. They are not extremely rare, I know where a half-dozen are right now.

On the other hand, I haven't seen any doglegs in the wreckers ... those are mainly in the B210s.

someone in portland was selling a set of 2 of em. but wouldn't ship them. he was in portland oregon.
