not good... not good at all
where did it happen??? mums idea of preventing that is to park next to new, or at least well looked after cars. those people are more likely to care about them, and not ram their doors open. it works most of the time!!!
and don't park at the bottom of hills at the shopping centre. runaway trolleys...

I had the same thing happen a couple of years ago to a commodore I had ,full body kit polished to death ,absolutely gleaming in the sunlight , some dumb bitch reversed straight into the drivers side rear wheel arch ( lucky I had huge tyres on so it wasn't too bad ).
Her excuse "I didn't see it" . F**king car was shining like chrome . I SEE BLIND PEOPLE

Lesson 1. Don't take your pride and joy shopping. If you must, don't park it closest to the entrance. Higher volume traffic, including families with kids, and old people are in higher proportion. All of these groups are "Car door unfriendly".

I hope this helps you all.

ps. The parking next to a good car is a great idea, unless it's close to the entrance, A Minibus full of kids will replace the nice car before you return, and they'll dent up your car good.

I'm guessing this happened at uni. I've heard plenty of complaints at my uni... thats what you get when you get a few thousand p platers to park cars in a couple acres..

if your really desperate... park on the lines not between them
