Ah, got it.

Is the Sierra the same as the Suzuki Samurai? That's what we got (plus Swift/GM Metro). I saw an X-90 once ...

Yeah Samurai & Sierra are the same car just different names in different countries. Just a smaller but better Jeep.

i must protest, the suzuki sierra does not come close to a CJ series jeep, im sorry but it just does not, the older model suzuki's such as the LJ50 and LJ80 where a bit better, but still did not have the capability's of the jeep. the way jeeps are built is superior for four wheel driving, the body takes up a lot of twist and lets the wheels curve and literally grasp the terrain beneath.
jeeps are by far the better four wheel drive. hell they were voted number one fourwheel drive in the world!

Thanks for clearing that up for me (the non Ford Sierra).

Should have put a G in front of the 13B too.

A rotary in a tiny Swift would be scary - they are pretty exciting as a road car with 74Kw

Cant agree Woodydat, I owned a LJ80 and sold it for a 97 TJ Wrangler which was a absolute heap of ####, just no quality control what so ever, so many things broke and feel off it was a joke. I now drive a Sierra and it never lets me down. With some simple mods you can make a Zook unstoppable. Except you roll them a bit .

I was only joking before as you cant tow or tour like you can with a Heep but they go just as well off road and NEVER break down.

Extreem, as i pointed out in my previous post, suzukis' dont come close to CJ series jeeps, not TJ's, i agree with you there, TJ jeeps are absolute pieces' of fvckin ####e!...
but the real jeeps, such as the CJ3B, CJ5 CJ6 CJ7 are just unbeatable, i have a 1953 CJ3B, it has a minor lift ( about 2 inch's) and a 15mm body lift, 250 falcon motor, over drive, and thats about it, its all stock apart from that. oh and the tyres are a little wider ( 7.50) and we have goone on weekend trips up in the watagons and #### like that with all sort of viechles, every car that was with open diffs ( like us) couldnt go ne where near where we were getting, weather they be suzuki's, toyotas, landcruisers, nissans etc etc... even some of the 4bees with lockers couldnt go where we were going, for instance, we went on a day trip with a 4WD tour dude, it was wet and we were in real mountainis country, we were the only blokes there with open diffs, we got lost down the bottom of this gully, and the only way out was up! so we were at the back so that meant we went first, every one kinda laughed when they thought we were gunna climb back up, but we did it, first go, then we got to the top, and waited, and waited, and waited, and no one come, so we walked back down to see what was hapening? they were all there scratchin ther heads thinkin how they could get out of there coz each one of em had a go to no avail, so we end'd up making a convo, with the operator at the front, us in the jeep with the A bar atached to the pintle hook, and a snatch strap to the pintle hook of the jeep, we made 3 trips to get the cars up on top again.. bloody toyota landcruisers and mnissans

Yeah don't know a lot about the older jeeps but I do know that the zooks go really really well in all the rock climbing comps around the world, people like Sam from overkill engineering and Jamie from 4x4 specialist always dominate in the zooks and zook based buggies. Have a look at some of the zooks on outerlimits4x4.com or the yank pirate boards. They surprise alot of people that think they are toys because they are small.

Yeh man i hear ya, its not the size, its how u use it hehe. yeh man i no where ur comin from, im not sayin suzukis are ####, but the oldskool jeeps are better, and as far as the buggies' go, you cant class them as a suzuki, as they are not, they are a tube frame with a suzi' body straped on top. the question those blokes need to ask them selves are, where does it stop? ive been in the LJ80 named "kermit" owned by some kiwi fella near my place, it has the 1300cc GTI motor, and it goes really well. gr8 lil fun machine, it went really well over the beach to! my jeep isnt really set up for mud, but more hillie stuff, and rocks etc.there is cracks all over the body from the it twisting, u weld it up, it cracks agian but the way the body just twists and bends is incredable, u need to drive it to really see the flex, u can look at the bonnet, and the Abar and see the difference in movement as ur driving down the road. u really need to take it off road in serious stuff to really apreciate it
my mate has just purchased a suzuki sierra, where goin up to glouscter in a few months see how we go

Yeah I know what you mean about the buggies being tube chassis, but they do use more than just the body's, they nearly all run the Zook motors gearboxs transfer cases diffs etc aswell.
