Well I wouldn't say mine is fast, but it's quick. My best time in the quarter mile was 17.0 and that was with the car not revving over 6,000 rpm. It was cutting out because the carbs were flooding so I lost a good amount of time because of that. I know she can run 16's. The fastest top speed I've ever gone was about 130-135 mph not bad for just a slightly worked A15. She'll be faster very soon I hope

The JATCO automatic is a fairly reliable transmission. I would drive it long distance unless it previously had troubles (leaking fluid, for example). On second thought, with the old A12 revved up at freeway speeds, I think I wouldn't make another long distance trip with anything but an overdrive 5-spd.

Mine used to be fast with its A12 with J13
pistons ,GX head,Dual 40 Makuni carbs
and a full race cam.but 6000 miles into
it and the cam ate through a lifter while
on a mountain run. Now it's still quick
stock head and carb ,GX cam--saving for a
C18de
