Yeah you have to admit. Over 7000rpm on stock valve springs isn't bad. I hit 7300rpm the other day and still no valve bounce. I assume mine are stock as i didn't test their pound rate when I had the head done.

second gear on a dead flat road, not too bad but it could be quicker, maybe rev to 8k or so

Since you can rev to 7 or 8,000 rpm, why do you need double valve springs?

What is your diff ratio? 100km/h in second. You must have a pretty tall diff.

well it i hit 7k it sounds like the motor wants to fall out the back so double springs will help me get to 8k easily. i think the ratio is 4.125 i might be wrong.

what are you guys going in second at that rpm?

It couldnt be 4.1 if your doing 100 in second unless you got some massive big wheels. I'm doing about 70km/h in second at around 7000rpm with a diff ratio of 3.9 and 13 inch wheels.

Also changing your valve springs wont allow you to hit 8000rpm unless you put in a bigger cam.
