does anyone know where i can get a cheap sr20det but in very good shape...will it fit in my 72 datsun 620.what mods?????

if not what engine would be the best to put in my 620.....i want it real fast...i have a L20B know any suggesstions on modifing the L20B

Best bang for your straight-line acceleration buck is a Chevy or Ford small block V8. There's quite a few 520s and 620s with chevys in them.

But don't ask us how to do it ... come on, this is a Datsun 1200 site ... be reasonable.

well the cheapest SR I have seen was 1500 bucks without wire harness, and requires a decent amount of fab work to install it correctly etc. so if you ask me port and polish the L20 head, run twin SU or weber, do the exhaust, upgrade ignition, those are just the basics, but really the possibilities are almost endless so anyway good luck on your 620

well you put a v8 in anything.it will go fast.i want to be different..

i don't want to go real fast..like REAL fast..i just want a desent time that i could keep up with the street legal scene..

i'm just asking..if you don't want help then don't..what could i do to my truck/tranny/engine do be able to do a desent time?????/just asking
