I don't know the details but reckon it was a drag racing engine. I doubt if it would live long driven on the street at 31 psi.

it must have taken alot of mods to his engine to pull this off very low compresion heads and pistons and a massive turbo that may have a a decent amount of lag im not sure but it had to have required a lot of custom fab work as well to pull this off but i do give him props for pulling it off

There used to be a website for this car. Was called "The Worlds Toughest Little Car".
I dont think the site is active anymore, I will try and find it, it had some good pics of the car and engine.

Cheers Steve.

there are more aftermarket parts than i care to think about for the L series. and being in the USA you can double that number.

The Lseries have a very popular racing history - as do the A series - in the late 60s / early 70's.

on a stock standard L20 i wouldn't run anymore than 12-15psi with EFi, and no more than 10-12psi with a carby - mainly because a carby has more chance of falling out of tune and leaning out so you want to keep the boost down, just in case.

the L20s have open chamber heads as standard here in Australia, which lends itself to a lower static CR which is boost friendly.

wow there slow down and catch ur breath first off what do u have done already to ur motor heads, cam, intake, exhaust, tranny, diff?, it all factors in but with upgrded heads intake and of course turbo i am guessing around 200-230 hp to the rearand roughly 170-200 ft lbs of torque and to calculate your quarter mile is a little difficult to do so hope this helps late
