I just saw a reveiw of what happened to Todd Wilkes in his Giocotolo. He was killed in a high speed demo at meet called "Terminal Velocity". Apparently the drivers were not allowed to check the track before driving. They were assured by officials that standards were met and conditions were safe. Four of the organisers were up for man slaughter but the charges were dropped. And no penalties at all were handed out. I'm not 100% sure but I think he was the man that set the twin turbo V8 scene in Aust alight with his VS commy ute that pulled something like 1150HP at the wheels back in 2000. I was just wacthing a rerun I had on video of what happened. I can't begin to imagine what was going though his mind trying to stop before that wall. He was an icon and died doing something he loved for all of his fans. I hope he rests well.

Has anyone got any more info about what happened or anything. You Queenslanders should be able to shed some light.

That gave me shivers.
I remember hearing it on the news. I was goint to go but something came up.
I couldn't believe it hey, I idolised Todd.
I used to love commodores until I realised how slow most of them are.
But Todd was a legend.

i wasn't there that day,but a friend was,& he was quite disturbed about the events.still,if they'd only run the braking area down through the first turn,it might not be so bad.he might not have made the turn, but he'd have had more room to slow down.that's what i can remember most.why didn't they do this?because they were going to have drag racing later,& they didn't want to waste time
moving the concrete blocks.insanity & culpable negligence.they aren't called the australian really dumb club without good reason.

i remember seeing the accident on the news. boy was that a scary accident.
man i too got shivers when i re-read about what NIS15L saw.
his giocattolio(i cant spell it) was a beast, it put out 750hp to win summernats dyno comp, and that was back when they had the 15PSI limit. to put that into comparison, when eddy tassone one, he was using 50 odd psi
