Whether LRP, ULP or any of the different PULP's you need to tune the car to run whichever. A engine tuned to run ULP will run rich and have reduced power with PULP. Different octane ratings require different jetting and ignition timing to burn its best.

I have heard from sooooooooo many people, mechanics, servo plp etc.. that if running unleaded (not so much premium unleaded) will gradualy stuff up your valves and plugs etc therefore degrading your engine over a period of time...

Is this not correct??
I have tried all three, LRP, premo and standard unleaded and definatley increase in economy with premium, LRP =loss in power, unleaded good economy but not as good as premo..

But using flash lube or these additives is the whole reason for our beloved datsuns being able to run unleaded no?? due to the lube in it creating less friction and making it more like LRP is being run....

I may be wrong but this topic has been discused before and this is what people on here said so,......

Damn, im confused now

Dave

*bugger this go hydrogen or electric, by the time next year petrol will surley be like $1.85 or somehintg stuipd....

eveyone say to me that i shouldnt run premo, then i say it has an alloy head and they go, oh ok thats cool

nobody expects them to have an alloy head, anything with an alloy head has harded valve seats which means they are fine with the ulp and premo, dont waste money on additives

only cast iron heads need the additives

I've tried all 3 as well and now just use unleaded with a dose of flashlube as my ute is a daily driver. I found no noticeable improvement in economy or performance using premium (BP) so rather than throwing more money down the tank have chosen this option. Was told to stay clear of Shell premium as it was a bit dodgy.
