like ute18l said this engine looks the goods, and would be worth the $$$ if the work said has actually been performed, problem is and ive had past experience with my ute, u can nevr tell when u buy things like this if the seller is telling you the truth or not, for example my ute came with a BRASS BUTTON CLUTCH, which was in fact the result of a screwed clutch cable that made it heavy, and the clutch became,UNSLIPPABLE if thats what you would call it,so it just felt like a brass button. dont always belive what the seller is telling you, as the saying goes thing arent always as they seem......

I agree it looks the goods. This is his second attempt at selling it on ebay, the first buyer didn't come through (or sometimes a phantom bid by a friend just to kick the auction along
) and now it is relisted. If I was closer to needing a motor for the new racecar I would have a look .......His description however did say it was rebuilt a couple of years ago so you would have to suss out the seller to determine what kind of "driving" he would have been likely to subject it to . Would be a no brainer for $800 - 850 !!!!Good luck Cheers

Ask for reciepts of the work done that usually tells if someone is bullshitting or not, any work done people always keeps reciepts as proof, only bullshiters don't keep reciepts, it looks a good engine but whys is it on such and angle, I though l series stood straight up and down.
Any way let us know how ya go. Cheers Damo

Bottom end rebuilt 3 years ago.......Top end two years ago. How many hard driven miles are on engine since then.
Think long ...... think wrong.

phantom bidder is right... he left positive feedback for the high bidder on the engine's last listing... screw this guy.
Sounds like you have a better plan anyway... that way you won't have to wonder, cause you'll know what's been done to it and how it's been treated. You can view topic.
