If you are using a good tension wrench (Warren and Brown, Snap On etc) Then the bolts are being kept within their design load. The factory manuals do not say to use new ones every rebuild even on GX engines.

I change them for all out race engines but for most street engines it would be a waste of time.

Im on the same page with rgrinder. If yall want to install used head bolts more power to ya.

No matter what torque wrench you use it wont help hold a used, stressed bolt.

I myself am using studs and nuts from Tomei.

I also respect everyones opion.
