hmmmm, I smells a cheater being built

The 1400 & 1500 blocks are taller than the 1200 so you cannot simply put all the internals in, you could however probably do something like...
A12 block (bored to 75mm or there abouts)
A14 crank (77mm stroke, 7mm more than A12)
A10 rods (117mm centre to centre, 4.5mm shorter than A12)
For pistons you'll have to find something with a near as possible to 29.5mm pin height.

If you did this you'd be up to 1360.7cc
You would want to get a cam to work down low in the range though as the rod / stroke ratio is fairly low and it probably wouldn't like to be revved past 6,500rpm.

Use either an A14 or A15 head, not too much difference in them, with a little bit of a tidy up on the inlet ports.

As for how far an A15 can be bored, you'll have to wait for someone else to answer.

check out Datrats , go about half way down.

They use a Bluebird dissy and modify it to fit.

Or you could go all out and get what I have, an Electromotive DIS.

1200 or A12 block
A14 crank. Machine in a lathe to reduce overall diameter a small amount. Have a look at my pictures to see how it's done.
A15 pistons. [Lower deck height] 76mm
A12a rods which provide the right rod length, but with the correct pin hole size at the little end. Alternately, you could bore the little end of stock A12 rods, but this reduces their strength a little. These rods should put the A15 piston crown just about flush with the block at TDC. If you push the bore to 77mm [second OS] it will yeild 1434cc How brave are you with a boring bar?

A10 rods? I think that they would drag the pin below the counterweights at BDC. No? Well they would come pretty close. Piston skirts would be almost non existant.

Datrats does a very nice job on the Bluebird distributor. I have one & its like a brand new unit.

A15s can be bored out to 79mm. 80mm with careful testing to find the right block. Then you can use RB pistons as a cheap alternative. 80mm A series pistons are also available over here, but they're expensive.

A14 block
A15 crank
A14 rods
79mm pistons (few to choose from)
1608cc
I use to run one of these motors, highly recommend them
