oh yea and it will be street driven so extra stress on axles with u turns car parks etc. i guess ill just run it with the locker and if axle life is too short ill put a single spinner h150 back in drive slow and grab a h165 or h190 wen funds avaliable.

Arev you putting this donk into a B310? I am fixing to do this swap too. The H150 will be okay as long as you don't give it excess shock loading launches etc. Locked diffys are a great idea for dgag racing, but a pain in the ass on the street bigtime.
I will be experimenting with a phantom grip in the future. If your vehicle is a B310, you are at a dissadvantage as they use coils rather that leaves. So there is considerably more engineering involved.

OH, okay. I asumed it must be a sunny 'cos thats where H150 come from.
I was running an H145 with a 4.1:1, out of a 1200.wagon. It seemed to cope with thw abuse okay, but I knew that isooner or later it was gonna go bang, so I pulled it out. (Plus, traction was vey diffficult to obtain in first and second)
Now it's running an H145, with a 3.9:1 head. (Welded) I only drove it once before the engine "retired", But it was a dog.
I have an h165 from a ute to go in, But am desperately seeking a 3.9: head for it.
I will be trying out the Phantom grip , when I can get my hands on a head.

It's also known as a spring loaded locker.
Do a search and there is some info here, although I think the link to a mazda website with pics is no longer working.

There is great debate as to how well they work, but I am game to give it a go when I find a suitable diff head.
