unfortunately, my brother investigated this diff for his mk1 escort and he's the one that knows the theory behind it (ill have a chat next time i see him and fing out). but basically its a almost "home-made" copy of a "lock-rite locker" which works accordind to previously stated, it is strong aswell though, it has been proven to last 2 seasons in various rally cars. only limitations no more than 200 real wheel horsepower and wont physically fit in 2 cars diffs, one being civic and one other not sure which (not 1200 ). maybe lock-rite have some info on the net about there locker you could check out. oh and there are a number of guys in melbourne at least that will do this work so its not dodgy in that way either.
