thanks andrew, its good to join the brigade. and boy is it a sleeper, the paint is very faded and old looking you woul be very hard pressed to pick it. i followed your initial build very closely and was convinced by your site to give it a go. i wouldn't be too worried about your figure the number you have is either wrong, or something is wrong in the motor. then again, all a dyno does is measure resistance, and can be pre adjusted to any figure. i`m sure she's a beast mate!!!

the rear end i was lucky enough to buy from a guy who had written his sr20t coupe off. its a shortened hilux lsd which uses 30 spline ford nine inch axels, which in a 1200 should be unbreakable! leafs are shorter or flatter or something? which lowers it down quite a bit. it just uses rx4 rear drum and i bought new shocks.

the front end i sort of created myself. i took an r31 strut, and cut the spring perch off (the diameter of the spring is far too big to fit up the 1200 strut tower) and while i was at it chopped out about 2 inches from the actual length of the strut to accommodate some koni yellow shocks which i picked up cheap and had rebuilt (which is also cheap to have done). so the front end stiffness is adjustable with a little knob. because i had them rebuilt, i asked for the soft setting to have a hard rebound for goodweight transfer when i go to the drags. the springs are just some pedders lowered made for a stanza which i modified. it is just running the standard r31 vented disk and caliper. both of which are huge for a 1200.

i'm using a 120y booster and new master cylinder which was quite a task to fit! i bought new nolothane bushes for the whole front end, and the swaybar is 22mm.

How much was the front track increased with the R31 struts? I've got a set sitting here and was thinking about using them. Also what steereing arms and tie rods did you use? Thanks. Wagon sounds great, by the way!
