![]() Does anyone know if these VW style lights can be made to replace a standard 7" lamp? I think the clear version is cool. The amber fog light looks like its half full of piss. I found them at this site Mid America Motorworks

Sorry Angello, but the link didn't work. These things certainly look the goods for those of us who drive anywhere. Sure as hell beats fitting additional lights.
Are they accessories, or OEM jobs?

that's funny the link works for me.
Anyways, they're after market accessories. It says that they have the mounting flange build in. I'm wondering if I cut off the flange, would it fit into the 1200's 7" headlight bucket? I think its time to take a recon trip to the junkyard.

I clicked the link again to no avail. Bummer.
Please let us know what you find as the version with a clear driving light lens really apeals to me. My only concern is whether the "dip to the left" feature [for right drive cars] is a function of the bulb [a good thing] or if it is a function of the lens [bad thing]

I put semi-sealed H/L in Monty and they work out great, only cost about $70 all up. Now I have no need for driving lights. The H/L I got fit any wattage globe as they have a standard pattern for the globe to fit into.

HUZZAH, the link worked & i have added it to my favorites list.
They look veeeeery interesting, but the pricing is a bit confusing. It lists the price per kit at $99, but does one kit service one side, or one car? I will ask them a little later. Blair I ran Hella H4 headlights for many many years in my 1000 sedan, & my 1200 ute, & my wife's 1000 two door, & now in my 200B. These lights use the same H4 bulb, but have a driving light built in, so it could be just the ducks nuts. It looks like they replace the whole headlight bucket, hey, i can live with that.

Well Chris if they are going to work for you, cool mate. I just dont think that they will suit the overall look of a 1K or a 1200, but I'll wait to give then a mark until I see some fitted to a car.
