MADDAT motorsports will have a CA18 turbo and non turbo engine cross member kit available in 2 to 3 weeks.
Keep an eye on www.maddat.cjb.net for prices and availablity, or phone Craig on 0412160025 for details on other 1200 products.

Work on my 1200 ute is coming along at an alarming rate, Craig should have it finished in 2 weeks. The engine and gearbox mounts are built, The new turbo is on, The 3.5 inch mandrel bent exhaust and dump pipe were completed today, The 650x300 bar and plate hybrid intercooler and radiator has been trial fitted, And the 11 inch rotor and 4 piston caliper brake kit is waiting to be fitted. Ill keep you posted on how its coming along.

Cheers NO1200. You must be throwing some big bickies into your project (Craigs pocket) but I can say now that it will be well worth it.

Did you send the ute in to get a full in house conversion ie. engine, box, diff, brakes, suspension etc?? Also what colour is it, or going to be?

Im glad someone around here can get a decent job done on their ute. I have a Ford XB ute which went for a heart transplant not long a go. Was supposed to take 2 weeks but took more like 2 months. Ahh well, I have the big beast back now running an OHC 4ltr XR6 motor and 5 spd and I am a pretty happy boy :)

The car is stellar blue, with white rims. I dont mind spending all this money on the car, because I just sold my last project, and those funds are paying for this one. And dont mind getting my hands dirty either. Ive got some big plans in the next few months.
A high mount Garrett GT25-40 is on the cards after I get the diff sorted. I kind of went over bored with the fuel system, which should support around 400hp, so no need for change there and I know the brakes will stop it.

Nup, The car is for mildura, in Vic. Its at Maddat at the moment, and will be there for another week or so. I got a call from Craig today, The brakes are on, and we just got the crossmembers back from the powdercoaters, and they are back in. The silicone hoses arived yesterday from Exhaust tech, so the plumbing will be made in the next day or so. Craig is also making a steering box brace for it at the moment.. Just the tricky stuff left to go.

damn, i thought we were gonna have another wicked datto cruiseing the streets of adelaide :)

besides mine, simmo1200's, and a few of my mates, there arent many datto's around here.

except that white coupe with a Z18, and the other white one with a 13b turbs, but i havent seen them in about 6 months.

If your car is still there next weekend, mind if i cruise down and have a look? maybe take a few photos? hehe, just warn craig before i go down, and tell him have something big and heavy ready, just in case i decide to steal your car just kiddin

I live in Mildura, but we spend quite a bit of time in Adelaide. If you wana check it out, thats fine, just ring Craig before hand on 0412160025 The car IS protected by club, (the big club Craig keeps in the workshop) so Im not to concerned about it going anywhere. If its next weekend, Ill probly be there aswell. At the rate things are going, It will be driving be then, but I doubt that it will be tuned.
