Hey Guys...

have just put a 120y B/W diff in my 1200 sedan...(shorten tailshaft + new front uni - $160) the cars not on the road yet, but was just wondering if anyone else has used this diff in thier 1200 sedans, and what thier thoughts on them are..
I also have a stock 1200 sedan diff, and a 4.1 ute diff.. what would be the best one to use now and after i go searching for more power..
ATM its still running reasonable stock a12 + 4 speed..
Sorta new to this, but any thoughts would be appreciated...

cheers, Steven

Go the ute diff, you will need to mod the tailshaft again, different pinion flange.

The bigger the diff the more power they sap. . . But you do want a degree of reliability. . .

quite a whiles back now i got excited about diffs and power and the likes .... and i had an old 120y wagon lying around .... pulled the entire diff assembly out, drum to drum, cut off and rewlded the leaf spring seats to match the width of a 1000 2 door sedan and stuck it in .... had the tailshaft from the 120y shortened and balanced to suit ... the car had a reasonably worked a14, and the diff had a 3.9 centre .... never had a single problem with it

dont know if this helps but thought i'd put it up anyhow ....
and before it gets asked, about the width ... was running 14" exa alloys, so the wider diff made 'em sit in the guards real nice
