well today 1200rc being the great person he is came and helped me put the newer type a12 int the coupe as i ready it for rwc.
...... 1200 made the plates for the mounts....
how many different types of mounts come on a a12????
we were kicking ourselves and almost eachother trying to fit that bastard in while i was swimming in tranny fluid... gearbox mounts.
we found we were using mounts that sat too high.
straight swap conversion my as@.
well all thats left is to wire it all up and check that the gearbox works..... but thats a story for 1200rc.... bloody gear box drain plugs too.

only one of the mounts was of any use otherwise the engine was sitting on a 10degree slant to the drivers side of the car.
lucky 1200rc had a box of miscellaneous mounts that just needed re drilling of one hole to bolt onto the block. the passenger side mount you gave me sat 25mm to high.

looking to put thermo in both of them so any pics would be good... going to sort out electrics on the coupe thiss weekend so should be a runner, just have to remember to top up with oil and trun crank by hand first to lube the bearings, will also squirt some wd40 down the bores as well.
