Chris' thing sounds like a bit of a beast. Those Toyo Proxes RA1 (or something like that) are a very good tyre for short stuff - they come on very quickly. They're the tyre of choice for hillclimbers up here.
I'd like to come down and have a run with you guys. Especially at OP GP! When are these events on, and do you have to register for the series or can you do a single round here and there? Bugger the credit card, I'm going to get stuck into the 1200 and get it up and running again.

Internally stock std A14, Std bore, with exception to double valve springs, headers, CAM and twin 40mm webers. The head on there at the moment has std valves, std ports, not even match ported to the manifold.. Overall, I cant complain about its performance, it just keeps on going.
The A15 in the making however is having some decent money spent on it. if I keep working at it, I know I can catch Chris's "Brown rocket" well maybe one day. Benny

I'm impressed Benny....with a bit more horsepower, you should find yourself getting pretty close to Chris......You might you need to be a little more aggressive in the driving dept too......Chris was dragging that thing around the track by the scruff of it's neck! Great to watch.
Two common mistakes at OP that a lot of people make..... 1. Make sure you use all the exit to suttons....let the car drift out. If your not hitting the outside ripple strip, your not going fast enough through there. The quickest way through there I found was to bangthe inside ripple strip and let the car slide out towards the outside edge on exit...keep your foot buried though...you don't want to wash off speed. 2. Don't turn in too early at the last corner....the apex is very late in the corner. If you turn in too early, you will come on to the straight slower, and that means a slower top speed at the end of the straight too. When Tony Longhurst used to run the JPS BMW, he almost made a triangle out of the corner....he would run very deep, and then turn tight to get a good run on the straight....

Too right about the Toyo proxies ! They are touted as an excellent cold tyre and come on straight away. Apparently go off a bit after say 5 laps (compared to advan) so thats why Chris uses them. They are one of the secrets of Wakefield park fast laps in the cold
Casually drive past will he , we'll see about that young Benny (lol). Good to see Benny trust the car and his ability a bit more - the car has all the right bits and just needs some dragging around by the scruff of the neck like Chris does Imagine how busy it is in my car trying to keep you at bay Ben - you've driven it so you know what I mean .Would be good to see you down here L18, if we can get you and datman to the track with us regulars it will be a blast !!! Cheers

OK OK, does " casually drive past" a certain gemini we all know, sound better. Might be hard to do, but it sure sounds good.......Seriously, where else could i use 5th. OP GP and Eastern Creek, that about it.

Chris' engine is under 1600cc & the car uses a Toyotarrrgh gearbox with a Dellow kit. If i remember rightly, the brakes use Commodore calipers on Sunny [B310] rotors.
As for the technical details, my lips are sealed. At least, they had better be if i want any help with my Datsun stuff. Yes, he is the "Boss"at my local service station, two blocks away.
