ok, so im using a delco computer off a camira, but a 1200 throttle body, so i have the 1200 TPS (throttle position sensor), and say i use the 1200 coolant temp sensor..... arnt these going to have diffrent outputs/resistance values to what the delco computer is expecting???? can this be tuned in the computer usually or is this going to be a problem as i will get false readings? im a bit confused the message i generally get is that it will be ok, but from my understanding of these things i cant really see it magically all working out

also as the camira MAP sensor is not designed to read boost i need to replace it, i have been told to go to motec, but that sounds expensive before i even go there, surely i can use a map off some other turbo car at the wreckers?, which brings me back to the above, will the computer understand what the new map is telling it?

The delco is a common system. I would try and stick to the sensors off the cars that have a delco.
What about using the sensors off a supercharged commodore, or turbo falcon.
I'm going through similar decisions with my autronic and ca18det.
It'll probably work, but to be sure, speak to a delco tuning specialist. Guessing or taking the advice of a faceless forum expert may be a risky proposition.
Nobody will be able to tell you about the temp sensor. The TPS will most likely need to be a potentiometer style 2kOhm-10kOhm. And I expect that the Delco temp sender is probably a 2pin bosch item (like on RB30 VLs,CA18 etc), and not the one that you use for the temp guage on the dash.

yeah ok, thats kinda what i was starting to think today, i should adapt as much from a camira as possible, was thinking taking the whole throttle body is probabkly not a bad idea, most likely bigger than the 1200 one, just may have to make an adaptor to mate it up
other stuff should pretty much bolt on with a thread adaptor of some description
so that leaves the MAP and dizzy as the two main problems if i get all that other to work

the values will most likely be different. I remember an article in Zoom, think it was the 3rd issue, they used trimpots to fool the computer. this only makes small changes though. Why not use all camira sensors??

Yeah the factory delco sensors are the go, you can get 2 bar map sensors that suit delco.
I would go the throttle body as well, fll delco setup will only make things alot easier for you and the tuner.

I wish i could be more help, but can't give you too much info atm. A mate actually set himself up with all the delco gear so i'll give him a call. I recall this place for some reason http://www.rosstuffbond.com.auSo you may like to try there first? They are up this way. If they have them and you need help getting it if they don't freight let me know, i would say they would though.
