Here in the states, DATSUN's have more nostalgic worth than any other old Jap cars. In fact, I think it's a bonus the DATSUN name has been discontinued. (Funny, I used to be pissed NISSAN changed it.) Of course, there's not many guys here old enough to remember this time period.

There are great fun. I have fun navagating in a 1600 rally car. And where can you get such a stylish old car for the money.
Hey Lagwogon next time you drag off some wanker in a SS commodore or XR 8 or 6 falcon try to get a photo of the stupid look on there face and put it on the forum

Well for me my 1975 Datsun 120Y was handed down to me from my dad. I grew up knowing this car since I was five years of age. When I got my driver's permit I was excited to drive my Datsun. The car is fun, looks good, easy to modify and maintain, easy on gas and very reliable. I wouldn't trade it for a newer model Nissan and since I put in an A15 with a cold air intake system, my Datsun is running great, I even have the confidence to street race with other newer cars. I drive my Datsun with pride, boldness and joy, I even park it next to BMW's and Benz's

Have a look at any of your late model car manufacturers sales pitch & then compare to your Datto:-
Coil Suspension
Monocoque style integrated chassis
re-circulating lead ball type steering system.

My ute was built in 1974, but I like to think the design is still current today & even after my conversion is finished it will be a lot more affordable than a performance ute offering from Holden or Ford.

Good styling, reliable mechanicals, easy upgradeability through substitution of interchangeable parts from newer models, relatively low cost, & above all, they are great VALUE.

Our classic Datsuns are greater than the sum of their intermixed parts. Few cars can boast all of that.

Respect your Datsun,.. love it dearly & treat it well.

I think it is in the blood, dad had a 1000 wagon new and thay have been in the family since. The twins B210 is getting better day by day, looks good, goes hard, sounds bute and the C/D is pumpin. Had to go out to WALLY's place the other day and was past by 750+ bike on the way home from the mountains here on the GOLD COAST. Thinking well this is a good time to try this rebuild out, well the look on this blokes face riding the bike in his mirror was priceless.Locked onto his taillight in and out of cornners and at speed, wish i had a camera on me at the time.

It's a love story
I saw her under a tree. Asked my cousin how much i could buy her. We agreed on a price OK fine i think. (I open the bonnet & fall in love instantly)I drive her to my house(coupe) and all the elderly people are always asking to pay more for her even in her poor body state and i ask them why
1. Petrol - she doesn't like frequenting filling stations.
2. The body shape is always current. Man i mean all those nice curves.Look at all the recent Hyundais
