Has anyone heard of or had experience with one of these things. It can measure all sorts of things by the g-forces created by your car. I dont know the actual price about $200 but they are on ebay for much cheaper. I did a bit of research on the net about people that have used them and they say that they really are quite accurate. Within 0.2 of a second and within 5-8hp at the wheels.

Just wondering what you all rekon. Its got me interested. I'd pay $50 for one. I'd like to experiment with it and find out its accuracy.

Here's the link to the main site. G-tech

Would you pay $200 for someone elses opinion on how fast your car is??

The gtech is a similar situation. Accurate or not..it's not reality.

For $50..why not. But the result doesn't hold much value.

Get it on a dyno..get it on the 1/4 mile strip. That's the only real test. No BS that way.

That why id only pay $50. Just to see if it really is accurate to some extent. Maybe even put on on the track and dyno to compare. It would be interesting to do modifications to see the improvement in times/hp. I'm not saying go spend $200 for something that isn't accurate. But still if you get it cheap and find out it holds some sort of accuracy it would be much more cost effective than dyno and track runs.

edit: BTW who wants to put a street driven A-series on a dyno. Im sure youd see massive figures.

yeah my mate has one. we use it all the time on everyones car. i recon its very accurate. when ya put it on ya windscreen ya have to push it up and down til its level, then it will have a count down timer etc. then GO. my old engine ran a 20.13, lol yet to run it with the rotary.

well worth the money if your interested in times by your mums car, your friends and your car

Converted it also measures cornering G-forces. Not just for straight line people.

the ones on ebay ARE the gtech pro

and theyre worth 460 at autobarn

well worth it if you can pick it up for $100 or under i think...

and the bueaty of them is u only pay for them once.... and can run til your hearts content... unlike dyno's and 1/4 mile strips...
