Going for a strap in the 1200 coupe on tuesday night the old gearbox decided to start making noises in second gear. A change to third and noise goes away. Sit their and think to myself drive it home slow and she will be right next thing you know Bang distinct lack of second gear. I drive half hour home using first third and fourth by time i get home I had not much left of any gears. Phone a mate up to get me a price of a box he turns round and goes got one of them in the shed two hours later and about one in the morning drive out the garage good as gold.

Lesson on 1200 gearboxes not very strong and tiny input shaft.

heheh i h8 the feel of when u blow em ay i blew a dif and transfercase in my old tx3 awd turbo.. puts shivers down my spine.. lucky u had a mate with a spare ay how long it take i to swap it over?
