My car has been having cutout problems on anf off the thottle when driving, but always idled perfect!
Some times the car would backfire if i turned the key while at speed to turn it back on. Last night i dropped my gf off and tried to start her and for some reason she wouldnt!
Heres a description of what happens when i turn the key. When i turn the key the engine turns over but does not respond to the throttle and doesnt idle by itself. The more i turn the key the more the engine runs normal but as soon as i let the key go the car stalls! Im thinking it is a fuel pump problem but i dont know. Might have a go at changing the fuel filter and plugs. The thing is that the car engine runs it seems to be getting fuel into the carby but wont idle on its own!? What could this be, maybe the carby!? Help guys im in dire need!

I think i had a very similar problem with my ute once... It turned out to be that the coil was screwed. A $40 replacement and I was back on the road.
