Would there be a problem with mounting an A series on a 45degree or so slant(either way)?
i know it would casue all the oil to run ot one side of the sump but would i combat any other problems.

If you guys were curious it is for a race car so the purpose if for weight distribution.

In my 1000 the A15 will lean to the right like pictured below. I would only lean it to the right since the oil runs down to the sump through the pushrod holes. If you lean it to the left, the rocker cover will fill with a fair bit of oil before it can return. (either way it would be best to make sure the oil pickup is at the lowest point in the sump)
45 degrees is alot. In my 1000 I couldnt lean it anymore without lifting the engine. This is due to the steering fouling on the starter.

Are you using sidedraft webers?

The reason im asking is if you are and you lean it to far your carbs will not operate properly. Dont quote me or anything but i believe they will not work properly if it is any more than 5-10 + degrees

hope that helps

Could i mount it to the right if i was to put a hose from the rocker cover to the dry sum tank as an over flow. Would this stop the poolong in the rocker cover?

Any other comments please shed some light in the idea...

You could if in sports sedan run an all alloy mi16 engine from the peugeot gti you can get it in 1600 or 1900cc form and will make 200hp easily and its 45 degrees. You will need a diesel suzuki sierra gearbox from the 2ltr vitara. Otherwise for improved production the L series is better for this exercise.
