I bought a 1200 ute with no seats in it just wondering what other people have used and if anyone has some pics. Trying to keep as much room as i can and would like to have head rest.

A mate of mine fitted a set of seats from a SSS pulsar they fitted a treat after he had the back of the cab stretched 100 mm.
This ute is what datsun should have built.

I used early 1990 Honda Prelude seats mounted on brackets off the original mounting points. The plus side to this is the seats are dirt cheap off jap import wreckers and they are comfortable with lumber support in the seat as well. I paid around $150 for the seats and about 2-3 hours installing well worth the hassle.

i wouldnt reccomend prelude seats in a ute... i had some and went back to originals... they are too thick in the back and push you too close to the steering wheel...

im yet to find a good supportive thin backed seat without going full race style seat that u need to fall into and climb out of..

although i havent really been looking that hard.... too busy changing engines

I wouldn't recommend the racing style seats either. My daughters 1200 has autotechnica seats & I can't sit all the way back in them as my shoulders are too wide.

The previous owner of my B210 took the original skeleton of the seats and wrapped the foam and covers from a hyundai accent around and re-stiched. It actualy looks pretty decent, and will hold me over till i find something better.
