nah beetles & kombis ran hot air off the exhaust manifolds as heaters.made for lethal heating when you got a hole in the heater boxes.can you spell carbon monoxide posioning. try some of the smaller commercials ie sherpas, carrys.or their equivalent vans for compact heater units.

Ahh sunny Townsville. I hear that in mid winter they switch from singlets to T-shirts & start wearing fur lined thongs. [jandals] Life's tough in the tropics.

I too will be looking for a suitable heater assembly, preferably one that includes an aircon evaporator & was thinking "Daihatsu." They make only small cars, & some are really small, but they also come with heaters & aircon. It might be worth a look.

Well im in Queensland not as far north but its still bloody warm and I have a heater tap that doesnt seal properly so I can always feel a light demister heat on my face. Ive just got to build up the courage to swap it. I do have a spare one but I just hate doing heater work. So finicy and you cant help but spill water on the carpet.
