Hey not everyone that has an xr6t is a wanker i own one for my everyday car plus have the 1200 ute they go good for what they are straight from fatory. But i will say my ute would kick the xr arse when it has 250kw @wheels and only problem is traction which the xr does have.

i have no beef with any XR6 owner, i just flogged him in my datsun. this was no stock XR6t either, had been moddified to have 260 rear wheel kw's as opposed to the stock 240 at the flywheel. i actually really like them, its just another conquest ss commodore... been there, beat that

street racing proves nothing - iinternet chop stories prove even less... I read on the internet that 3cyl turbo charades easily beat WRXes...

XR6s are slugs. I've been in one. I've ridden in Taxis with more oomph. This doesn't mean that they are all like this. The one I rode in was <10,000kms and stock as a rock.

If I can hold a conversation in a car while accelerating, then it ain't got enough power.

i'm not real keen on the whole street racing thing either, but i accellerated away from a 2004 model modified turbo performance car, in my datsun 1200 (this is datsun1200.com right) i was proud and impressed with the comparrison so thought i'd tell others. telling of these stories lets people know the ability of a small car with bit of power. otherwise we'd all just be internet specialists with project car's without motors
