I am driving a 71, 510 wagon everyday that i
am slowly restoring. I heard the other day that there is a way to convert a 2 barrel carb who's secondary jet is actuated by vacuum to a mechanical acuation. Is this a "good mod? Does anyone know how to do this? The "garage" that knows of this is extremely exp$. I am on such a tight budget, that it's like having no budget at all. thanks/hak

Yeah on Holley's we used to put a nut and bolt in the main throttle lever so that the secondries rod had a stop to hit against so it would be pushed open.
Only real benifit of it, is if your vac canister is stuffed. You will probly find you will have a flat spot if you do it, but changing the position of the bolt will limit this flat spot.
