Nissan Gazelle Wont Stay Running On

Hey everyone, sorry its not a datsun but thought might ask here anyway
I just bought a 1984 nissan gazelle automatic the car's fuel pump died and replaced that, but didnt work cos something's wrong with the relay so I took it to the mechanic for their electrician to fix it. The car was running fine when i test drove it and took it back home. Next day the car starts but wont stay running on. now the mechanics doesnt wanna do anything about it but anyway I visually checked the (2) temp sensors connections and cleaned the connectors. Can it be my AFM or its pure electrical problem? new sparkplugs, plug leads, rotor, fuel pump, fuel pump sender Anyone knows what might be causing the problem? or anyone here can help me for a carton of beers or something?

hey i had the exact same problem after i replaced my fuel pump. but mine died whist i gave it a test drive, but this was because of a faulty battery, a when i was driving i turned the sterio on and next thing i know it just died.
ok, first cheak ur battery, becouse if its faulty, it cant put out enough power to keep ur ecu goin so the motor will die and keep doin it every time u turn it over ( and the same if you roll start it) i was also told that air in the fuel lines could cause this to happen ( dont know if thats true or not) but you should cheak to c if yuo have fuel pumpin through by taking the fuel line off at the fuel rail and turn it over( it shud only require a short turn of the key or u'll find that fuel will piss out everywhere) and when replacing a fuel pump, it is required by the manufacture that the fuel filter is replaced too as this will void warrenty so its probibly best that you cheak that toowell hope this helps

lights, sterio works
battery voltage is 11 something which is low a little bit but wouldnt it not start at all if its faulty battery and not enough power? I disconnected the battery and re-connected it again to see if something will reset in the ECU but no luck. Any more bright ideas? please thanks Yes the fuel filter is brand new and I can hear noise in the fuel line near the filter. and also that was tested as well and fuel is coming out of the line.

ok, well it seems to be more of an electrical problem more than mechanical, so u have fuel pressure but it seems to be starving after running for a little while
best bet, swap the battery with one that yu know is in good condition and see if it makes a difference, that way u will iliminate one cause of problem your battery may read close to 12v but its not easy to tell if its still ok goin off this reading, u have have dropped a cell in the battery causing carging falure, even if its a new battery thses thing do happen if its not that then check the ecu, might be that the incoming power(12v) cuts out when running or the ignition lead (12v) cuts out when running, this is the lead that will have power when turned to idnition and will have power when car is running or not but only whe nkey is turned to ignition if this does not work see a auto electritian cheers buddy

CA20E
EFI 2.0 litre engine RWD drives like a normal car nothing special in my opinion some countries are lucky they have the CA18ET and VG 6 cyclinders looks good though

a good indication that ur battery has shat itself, when u take it off charge ( being that uv charged it over nite) then try turning it over and still doesnt keep running, yet ur sterio will stil work. if it has shat itsefl it wont charge properly but may read a voltage around 12v
next try replacing the battery You can view topic.
