I'll be there, sort of!!

I'm doing the Coastal Challenge which is run in conjunction with the Rally. It means I get to run the special stage at Imble and I will be at the Sat night stage in the middle of Caloundra (Kings Beach).

Won't be in the Ute though.

Lemonhead has entered in his Sunny (car 51) and Ian Ogilvie in his 1200 coupe (car 50) so keep an eye out for them if you're spectating at Rally Q.

There's a couple of 1600's that are definitely worth watching too - Wayne Johnson (car 41), and Phil Eather (car 103 Classics). And in case you're not too familiar with QLD rallying, watch out for car 39 - Ian Menzies in the XR8 Falcon! he's mad!

here's the full entry list www.rally.com.au/data/files/rq05_entry_list.pdf

Abyss, I hear a rumour the Coastal Challenge will get to run the Caloundra stage too. Not sure if it will actually happen, but there is talk

There was strong talk of that but as of last night, the best we can hope for is a parade lap but even that doesn't sound hopeful.

They have a very tight window of time that they can close the roads for and keep the residents happy so it will probably just be the rally cars that get to have a go, unfortunately.

They are moving in the right direction at least, last year the stage was canned altogether so maybe next year we'll get to run it.

do not mock thee , these are the names given to us by the powers that be, steeped in history and legend spanning years of friendship, oil changes and skinned knuckles.

the further north you go the loonier we get.it's hot you have to drink more hence the lonney-ness.

Well, I saw the night stage at Kings Beach and the biggest reaction from the crowd was when the 1st 1600 came out and then when the 1200 Coupe hit the course.

That was one impressive little car.

It was a pitty to see the 240K (I think) unable to start, I just saw them pushing it from a distance.
