Maybe in later prairies and pulsars but Ive never seen one.
Also pulled two complete engines out at the wreckers one a12 and the other e15 and its seems that the e15 is a smidgen taller but much more compact and therefore lighter.
This could be from the cam missing in the block and therefore less steel on the block and also the 76mm bore which can only go 1mm over safely as 2mm can have problems unlike a possible 79mm A series.
The E16 has the 88mm stroke and the e15 has the 82mm like the a15. I must stress that a normal pulsar e15 with the 15m head revved and moved a heavier little four door pulsar faster than well setup mild a14 in a sunny. These little gems really like revs and get to the redline quickly. Instead of in a a12 speedway car imagine the 15m head on an a15 with 79mm bores, crank angle sensor and black box made by feral ;), 48mm inlets with snag cleaned up ports and well setup injection. It should outdo any a series head by quite a mile.
Also Ive been waiting for pics of this engine in a mini sprint someone pointed out on ebay.
This car has the a12 with the ohc head and he says with the 8.5 compression it was making 165hp which is hopeful but if anyone can get the pics up it will be a great addition to our site. The if feral gives up on the tc head this head could be the fall back.
