Yes killer1200 - where did you get your 180 hp figure from??? Neil's motor dynoed at 98.7hp - a very impressive result but still shy of your claimed amount. The best recent dyno I know of was for a schmick as build A15 big block on 50 mm throttle bodies and it made 120 hp at the wheels. I love what the internet does for hp claims....

I believe that this kind of power output can be achieved. The secret ingredients would include lots of nitro methane & lots of boost. Unfortunately, engine life expectancy would be compromised.

You could call this engine the M36 as it would very likely have both the life expectancy & performance of the hand grenade it was named after.

It's all a matter of balance & trade off. As power goes up, so does the cost [exponentionally?] & conversely, service life comes down,... a lot.

Why spend heaps on big carbs cams engine work ect!! I would leave it stock fit two turbonator Zet fans and 100hp NOS easy 200hp at the wheels !!!! Might have to improve the exhuast and filter. A 4 inch crome tip would also improve top end maybe 220-250 hp at the wheels and low 9 second passes on street tyres easily acheiveble.
Would be fully sick mate

A14force - have you ever dynoed your rig?

No. Unfortunately the motor devoped some "issues" before I had the chance.
Once I get my new motor together, I'll be taking it to the dyno for sure.

Traction would probably be a problem with so much power in a light car so you'd need at least a Ford 9" diff and fill the boot with as many subs and amps as you can, in fact better base it on the wagon so you can fit more in the back to keep a bit more weight over the rear axle. With this setup I see no reason why high eights wouldn't be easily achievable.

So a well sorted carbed motor can get 100hp (close enough) at the wheels, say 130hp crank? Who says 200+ with boost is impossible?
