I am new to these cars and am wondering what is it with these cars that makes it soo special to a race enthusiast? Also what were some of the things that the Datsun 1200 came with and what was its specifications? What years was the datsun 1200 made? Where do you get parts for them? and is this a Datsun 1200 or a Datsun B10?:

Also (more questions......) what years are the most popular datsun 1200's (71, 72??) Is the Datsun B210 a good platform for performance as a datsun 1200? Please need info. Thankyou

Hey Weasy, welcome aboard....

We love all the Dat1200's here....

on our side of the pond they were made from 71 to 73 then the B210's took over.
The 1200's were sedan or coupe and its all up to you on pref. Tons of choice for performance so have a browse of the tech section etc first. Should help a bit.

dat1200 is model LB110 or B110 and can be coupe or sedan...

I believe the B10 was a predecessor and not same body.... more like a dat1000 I think

About the B210, is this just as good as the datsun 1200 when it comes to potential for performance?

As a club racer these cars are good for two reasons wieght and easy upgrades

lol, sorry weasy.... I didnt look at the pic until now. That is a B10 or Dat1000 I believe, not a 1200 or LB110. It is a sedan model though.

The 1200 (B110) is newer and comes in coupe or sedan. Have a look at the photo section and see what some of the members have for rides.

The B210 is basically a different body shape with a stock engine of same type but more power. Either car will take your choice of many performance upgrades. I have seen some nice looking 210's and love the 110's but hey... I like dats regardless. It al comes down to personal taste. Have a look at the datsunb210 yahoo group for some insite that way.
