A15 Flywheelbolt pattern

I'm in the process of converting a 1980 210 (B310) wagon from auto to manual using parts from a 78 B210 GX.I was boltin the manual fly wheel up and the holes didn't match, then I discovered that there's only one way for them to line up. Even after gettin the holes in what seems the right order, I still have problems screwing the bolts in. Only one screws in all the way with no problem, the rest only go a few turns ... Any suggestion?

As far as i know all the A series flywheels you'll find have the same size and hole spacing, and the holes in the flywheel have no threads, so it's the threads in the crank that aren't matching up... I'd check that you have the flywheel bolts, they are special, they are maybe 1/2" long and have a straight slot in the top. DONT USE ANY OTHER BOLTS!!! they are metric like all parts on that car.
So you got a 63A dogleg gear box ;) I have one on the way.

After you get the correct bolts, make sure they are clean, and put them in with loctite.
From what I've read here on this site, the 1980 A15 wagons had the 3.7:1 diff. Not that that has any relavence to anything. Dunno about the autos though.

in 81 if it was an automatic, it's either 3.7 or 3.9 depending on if it's a CA model. The VIN should say which.
