I brought a blue coupe off here a few months ago, from a regular. Told it had no rust, volvo LSD rear end etc. Drove over 1000km with a trailer
Guess what no LSD and no reply from lots of emails

Christ, I hate that...... I guess it goes to show that just because you see guys regularly on this site, it doesn't necessarily mean they're beyond trying to rip someone off.
I suppose it's the same as the recent posts on the bloke who got gypped trying to buy 4SUSN....... Buyer Beware!

yeah it had rust too
$1300 and 1000k's, by the time I got to QLD I trusted ACA18 enough not to lie on the ground, jack it up and test for LSD
All I wanted was LSD as my ute is nothing but wheelspin down low.
But yeah, yeah gotta be careful.
Worst of all on the way back 11pm a copper follows me, the borrowed trailer was out of reg. The fine $472 AND I had to leave it there until I got a registered trailer to pick it all up. This added another 700k to the trip.
Some days just keep gettin worse.

The best rule is to trust no one.
$1300 is pretty cheep for a coupe in my opinion. A lsd of any kind would be pretty $$$. Its always best to check on the goods before handing over the money. I guess you learnt the hard way.
I have had simaller happen to me buying over the net. A diff I once bought wasnt exactly what it was suppossed to be anyway #### happens and we get over it eventually.

Trust No one, how about this, i had (used to have) a mate who bought a lovely 1600 off me, i had bought it for $2350 had it for two years, rebuilt the engine, it had a 240k 5spd, twin dellortos and other gofast bits, was straight as a die. I sold it to him for $2400 and he handed over $400, as he was a mate i trusted him to drive it away. Hassling him for over a year to get the money out of him i was threatened by his father and the car was sent to Sims metal. That really hurt.
