I'm hearing a weird rubbing kind of noise when the car is around 40 mph. Its keeps making the noise right through after that milage. I thought was the tires rubbing on the inner walls of the mud guard, but I put some 2 inch spacers and the noise is still there. A friend told me that it could be the front or back bearings but he is not sure. If anyone is famliar with this kind of problem and knows what is causing it and the solution to it please leave me a post message. Thanks.

Try driving it for a while and then get out and check the hubs for heat, If one/any are very hot then it may be bearings.

the best way is to pull them down and check them for excess freeplay in the bearings, and to see if they are pitted any.

Good idea. If it gets quiet when driving straight ahead, but makes noise when turning one direction, it's probably the wheel bearing on the outside wheel.

If it's not very loud, you could always wait until it gets louder, then it is often easier to find the problem.
