They didn't. GX was the top trim level, and only used on 4-dr Sedan and Coupe bodies. See the Tech Section for more details, including factory brochures.

Bighat suggested that the "GX" hood (based on parts list) replaced the regular hood at some point, and was used on non-GX models.

MMMM, Boostin, I have two 2door sedans in Adelaide, wheres the other one, I want it!!! Ones got a ca18 turbo and the otherone may be bought back to its original glory. Cheers. Adam

1970-72 Nissan only made Coupe and 4dr Sunny B110 GX's.

1972 Every Sunny B110 came with GX hoods, plastic grills and redesigned dash.

So put on that GX hood and feel good about what you've done.

I found the photos and it is almost definately my old 2 door drop by and have a look and I will fill you in on what history I know.
