sooks! "the wheelbase is too short"

tell that to these guys who not only get "angle", but do it at 10/10ths in the forest with trees, rocks, spoon drains, fences, enbankments, cliffs, and other obstacles everywhere!

with the car's light weight, it's easy to drift.

i'm using R13 175/70 tyres with Cheviot Raiders rim. Each wheel is locked with an additional 0.5 inch spacers. <- this will improve handling and stability.

it's easy to drift, but it is quite hard to hold the drift, unless you have LSD or a more powerful engine.

normally i'll use the brake and clutch timed with turning to let the back tyres loose. Best done with only 1/4 fuel in the tank ;)

this technique is good for our downhill drive (Genting Highlands) since our stock brakes are quite sh!tty on a 40 degrees slope downhill.

NIS15L - that looks like power oversteer (my personal drug of choice) to me mate not drifting but if there's a photo sequence somewhere that shows you holding that angle pre corner I'm happy to eat my words.

hi all...
i got soem question to ask..

i read somewhere that
a japanese drifter who using a datto said.
the 'RB something' ( i forgot )
in the steering design of datsun
makes the steering not come back automatically after a drift.
so we need to turn to countersteer ourself manually..

is it true?

i saw my friend drift with nissan cefiro A31
he just initiate turn, then he let go the steering, and the steering will turn counter
until the right couter steer angle, he will catch the steering

will datsun be like that also?
or we need to turn it ourself?

and what is the 'RB' thing in our dat?

Hi Sam
I don't know od any `RB' parts in the steering but Nissan do have a group of motors with the prefix RB i.e. RB20DET, RB26DETT etc.

oh...
no.. sure not engine code.. :)
i also know the famous RB series engine

it is something about the steering structure..
like some use 'rack n pinion'? (i not sure i spell it correctly?)

so that japanese drifter said beacuse of the datsun steering structure the steering wont comes back
