the easy ? is to ask what can i do to get a killer n/a L20B...so much u can do..the usual'''dual carbs,cam,headers,bigger valves,worked head,commpression,ingnition..what will a good combination of that give u...hp?hard to answer huh??
well i heard that a good combo will get a 2 door in the 13s....all motor possible....i like to hear your guys comments..about working a l20b and what kind of damage could be done...N/A ALLMOTOR BABY!!!
because i want to stick to the old skool stile no turbo,,no injection...just motor..and the bottle!

if your budget extends to it, you could run an 88mm bore and use a Z24 crank for a 2.25L stroker...

The 2.5 will give you torque, but not a lot of h.p., which superdattodude seems to want.
As for h.p. #'s, someone else can answer that as ... the ... kryptonite ... is ... too ... much ... for ... me ... need ... a ... snort ... of ... the ... bottle

It's a bit easier to simply use the crank, rods, and pistons from a Z22 (with a 2mm overbore) to make a 2.2L L-series.

On a rainy day, get two 6 packs of beer.. anything but low alcohol will do. Optionally you can smoke some reefer while you are at it.
1. Drink all 12 beers in 1 hour. 2. Wait 10 minutes. 3. Put on a helmet 4. Then go out an do a quartermile pass.
It'll feel like the car is doing 10s.

OKAY!!!! All the facetiousness aside. Ive been curious about the dirty ol Lseries myself. If your only gonna spout sh1t please refrain from contributing to this thread. A bloke locally reckoned that some kind of 2.4 litre crank and rods would bolt straight into an L20B. Not being as green as I am cabbage looking, I would like some info regarding the feasability of this. I know that three of the nissan family of motors are very close, but no one has ever given me an authauritive desription.
You say youre off the idea of a turbo. Why not stick a super charger on instead? By all means bottle feed it. Blowers and nitrous go together like sex drugs and rock n roll. This forum probably isn't the best place to find folk with anicdotes of what setup delivers what horsepower. But most revheads have a fair idea of what makes stuff go hard.
Bear in mind, if you wish to run N2O, the ideal camshaft for such an application, will not be as ideally suited to non bottle fed operation. This is no biggie for a strip only car, but if the car will get lots of street use, the off nos go will suffer. Chemical (Or mechanical) supercharged engines like camshafts with wider lobe seperation. They don't rely on big overlap high rpm scavenge, the same way N/A motors do. An ideal nos cam will crack the exuast valve open befoe the piston has reached BDC on the power stroke. This is to help the cylinder to evacuate the increased amounts of spent fuel. some of the energy is lost, but the huge gain of bottle feeding is greater. Hence the off the squeeze minus. Nitrous isn't cheap either. A mate of mine was using two bottles a meet. It now costs about $180 to fill a bottle.
If I can get My supercharged A15 to refrain from self destructing, I plan to bottle feed it. The upshot is, both types of go faster, benifit from the same camshaft characteristics.
Otherwise just go for the tried and true.
