last week i swapped my sr20det 1200 ute for a nissan 180sx... and have regretted every moment sine the swap. Anyone who has owned a fast datto will know what i mean all was going downhill till yestarday when i was checking through the trading post and saw a 1200 sedan for sale.. well i picked it up this arv and although the a12 isn't quite as good as a sr20det damn it felt good to be back in a datto.... i will post some pics up for u all to see soon... oh the joy...

I know what you mean. Newer cars don't have the character the 1200 has. I think it is the way it handles so much better than it should.

all the comforts of a 180sx power window, climate control, electric everything.... and all i wanted was to get back in my datsun....

i know exactly how you feel tappet.
i had a sweet as 260z 2 seater, and i sold it to buy a skyline for all the features you mention, only to yearn for another datsun about 3 months after i bought the skyline.
i had to sell the skyline to buy another zed, but come across my ute for a good price.
so here i am..
couldnt see myself in anything else but a datto

hey pepper ur at loganholme..... my ute is running round ur area somewhere so keep an eye out for it.... its metallic black with 15' commodore pursuit rims, chrome rollbar, big front mount... it's got a s13 sr20det motor and does the best burnouts ever... also runs 12's on street tyres. damn i feel like such a fool now ive got to start again with my sedan..
