I got bored last night and chucked up a little site containing some stuff I've aquired that's too big to put here.

I've put up a (rather large) Owners Manual for the 1000 Coupe in PDF, an article from April 1969 Modern Motor mag (with some great photos) and the 3D wallpaper I did a while back.

I hope to add some more stuff soon, but until then - Enjoy!

Well, the link worked fine for a short time & I got to page six of your owners manual when it all locked up.
I got out, then re-entered to get the same error message that i got before.
I have pasted the WHOLE error message in my previous post now.

Its a shame that it isnt working, i would have loved to see a site dedicated to 1000 coupes keeep tryin man and i cant wait till its fully functional

It looks like this mob impose a download limit per hour [or whatever] Just looking at your owners manual excedes this limit & the whole thing shuts down for about an hour, then it's all good again untill the limit is exceded again.

Your manual seems to be the same as mine except for the covers.
Mine is marked 'Issue Date 15th November 1969'
Thats only six weeks before the end of production, so you would think it was hardly worthwhile coming up with a new edition.

If you want, i will scan mine later & send it to you, just for comparison.

Woah, have a look at the car in the road test. It's not a Datsun 1000 coupe, it's a JDM Sunny coupe. This was the test & evaluation car. Look at the mirrors, the amber park lights under the bumper, & the Sunny coupe badging on the front guard. WHERE IS THAT CAR NOW? Surely they didn't send it back.

Also, have a look at the right blinker spear on the guard, It's on backwards.
I also suspect that the Aussie model came with black interiors only.
The article raises a few questions that i will discuss later, but it revolves around the inference that the 1000 Coupe was not yet on sale as late as April 1969, yet production ended in December '69.
The '70 model was released in July '69, yet there are many 1969 models here. Were they all sold between May & June of '69? I don't think so.
