Hi can a ca 20 5sp fit a ca18 and is it much larger than the standard ca18 box.
is there any advantages or disadvantages of these boxes?
which clutch to use?

Yes it will. It is actually shorter than the CA18 box. It would be fine in a 1200. I ran one in a bluebird running 10psi for 2 years without any probs so the light 1200 will be fine. advantage would be the shifter would be around 50mm forward.
